Este es un anillo cartilaginoso con un n\u00facleo pulposo que funciona como amortiguador entre las v\u00e9rtebras de nuestra columna vertebral durante las actividades diarias tales como caminar, correr y saltar. Cuando estos discos se degenera o por alteraci\u00f3n de la mec\u00e1nica de la columna se deforman, el anillo cartilaginoso se fisura deform\u00e1ndose y permitiendo la salida del n\u00facleo pulposo.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La degeneraci\u00f3n y hernia de disco pueden ser responsables de dolores (radiculares o de la duramadre), de trastornos de la movilidad vertebral y de trastornos neurol\u00f3gicos (sensitivos y motores). La hernia de disco presenta dos grandes tipos: la protrusi\u00f3n (fisura simple con d\u00e9bil desplazamiento anular), y la hernia verdadera que puede variar de acuerdo a su importancia y localizaci\u00f3n.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Las hernias de disco posteriores son las m\u00e1s frecuentes, son las que provocan directamente dolor por su relaci\u00f3n con el ligamento vertebral com\u00fan posterior sobre el cual se apoyan. En algunas ocasiones la protrusi\u00f3n se desplaza hacia los agujeros de conjunci\u00f3n (por donde emergen las ra\u00edces nerviosas) lo que provoca dolor radicular con irradiaci\u00f3n hacia la zona del nervio afectado.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> La localizaci\u00f3n preferencial de las hernias de disco es lumbar y provocan lumbalgias agudas, cr\u00f3nicas y lumboci\u00e1ticas. Las hernias de disco cervicales, son menos frecuentes pero generan cuadros dolorosos tanto en la regi\u00f3n cervical como en los miembros superiores.<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-628\" src=\"http:\/\/www.fisiohogar.com\/sansebastiandelosreyes\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/37\/2017\/03\/zonalumbar-202x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"202\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.fisiohogar.com\/sansebastiandelosreyes\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/37\/2017\/03\/zonalumbar-202x300.jpg 202w, https:\/\/www.fisiohogar.com\/sansebastiandelosreyes\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/37\/2017\/03\/zonalumbar-300x445.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.fisiohogar.com\/sansebastiandelosreyes\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/37\/2017\/03\/zonalumbar-690x1024.jpg 690w, https:\/\/www.fisiohogar.com\/sansebastiandelosreyes\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/37\/2017\/03\/zonalumbar.jpg 725w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 202px) 100vw, 202px\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>\u00bfQU\u00c9 PUEDE HACER LA FISIOTERAPIA EN HERNIAS DISCALES?<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El tratamiento de las hernias discales debe ser de inicio y preferentemente conservador con fisioterapia; s\u00f3lo en casos de la presencia de par\u00e1lisis, y dolor resistente por m\u00e1s de tres meses se debe plantear la cirug\u00eda.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El tratamiento de fisioterapia consistir\u00e1 en t\u00e9cnicas del manejo del dolor; tales como termoterapia, electroterapia. Reducci\u00f3n de los espasmos musculares con t\u00e9cnicas de masaje y manipulaci\u00f3n.
